Long-term vs Short-term
I have a friend here who encourages me to open a topic for discussion about this long-term and short-term related in making some decision. What kind of decision that we always headache of? Money, studies, families, friendship or relationship?
What I wanted to discuss about is making decision in the love relation. Firstly, what we are long-term’s and short-term’s benefits including here. For example, Ms G has a boy-friend name Mr. A and in the meanwhile she also going on with another guy name Mr. B. When a day came to Ms G that she needs to choose one between Mr. A and Mr. B, what do u all think she will be choosing? Mr. B considers the third party but he is also someone that Ms G likes. But this does not mean that Ms G do not likes Mr. A.
In the process of choosing either one, Ms G was very smart that she had been using this “long-term and short-term” terms in helping her. In the short-term, she had be with Mr. B more than Mr. A, very happy with him ever. Mr. B even did help her in financial while Mr. A doesn’t. Mr. B is working now, he have plenty of time accompany her and even can die for her. In the other hand, long-term would be consider in Mr. A that he is studying and will be graduate and brighter future. Mr. A even is her family’s favorite choice and good-looking guy. While Mr. B is a sick person who may leave her alone any time.
Can we really consider all this effect in making our decision one day? Are this fair to others? Can we estimate what really happen in the future in predict the long-term? Do leave your comment for this blog. Thank you!

Here’s my opinion:
I’ve face the same problems in my life. But what I have done was I never think of what “long-term and short-term” terms in doing my decision. I did what I’m thinking right now and I never regret. Though I really regret, I won’t blame anyone because I was the one who making the decision. Not the decision control my ways. I think this is not fair for anyone involve. Nothing can be compare or weight in loves. Not like you are buying 2kgs of meat or 600gms of sugar. It’s either you accept or you let go. No weighting anymore…
What you know what will happen in future? Maybe tomorrow? Long-term? As if tomorrow he is already not around, what else you can predict for future? Ok, let say you have chosen the one who have a brighter future, can you predict that he won’t have another love ones? Can you predict that he won’t go bankrupt just next 3 years? No right? So what I’ve chosen was being with the one who really bring me joy and happiness. I don’t care and we can’t even think too much what will happen tomorrow. As long as I had enjoyed the moment with the one I love and we living happily before I leave this world. I’ll be glad to be with you as I’m still alive.

yea…i agree…as long as u r happy at that moment…that is the most important thing at all…
who knows when u were to choose the Mr.A for its brighter future ahead but it turns out that he borrows from Ah Long to finance his studies?? but then if u were to choose Mr.B(as per defined in here that he is sick), he wil leave u just after a day u decide to choose him over Mr.A…….
enjoy the moment u r happy….dats the fact of life…its not about kiasu of watever…its our life, our own life…u decide…..
